Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple: Darshan Timings & Rules
A journey to the newly consecrated Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya is a deeply emotional and spiritual experience for millions of devotees. To ensure a smooth, peaceful Darshan without any last-minute administrative hurdles, travelers must be fully aware of the strict temple guidelines and exact operating hours.
Official Darshan & Aarti Timings
The temple administration has streamlined the entry queues. General Darshan is open in two extensive shifts daily:
- Morning Shift: 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM
- Afternoon/Evening Shift: 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM
For specific spiritual ceremonies, there are three primary Aarti sessions: Shringar Aarti (6:30 AM), Bhog Aarti (12:00 Noon), and Sandhya Aarti (7:30 PM). While general Darshan is free and requires no advanced reservation, attending the special Aarti sessions currently requires securing free passes issued directly by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, subject to strict daily capacity limits and identity verification.
Strict Locker & Security Guidelines
The security blanket enveloping the temple complex is understandably robust. You are absolutely prohibited from carrying mobile phones, smartwatches, digital cameras, earphones, leather belts, wallets, and large handbags inside. While free locker facilities are available at the outer complex, the deposit and retrieval queues can easily consume 45 to 60 minutes of your time.
